Brock and Becca Vacation In Vancouver (Soft Cover)

Excerpt:
By 10:00 o'clock the next morning, we had eaten breakfast and were at the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
It was a beautiful day.
Every place you looked there were tourists, just like us. Dad asked, 'Brock, do you remember when we were on that river boat trip in Whitehorse? It was the same day your mother got lost. We were at the front of the boat, and went under a narrow bridge that was suspended from either side of the river. I told you then that I would take you on a suspension bridge some day. Well, today's the day. '
I looked at the bridge he was talking about. There were a few people on it, some going over, and some coming back. It was a long bridge, and high up over a river that ran through a rocky gorge.
I learned that word 'gorge' in school when my teacher explained a gorge is a deep, narrow valley, the walls of which are usually steep and rocky.
It was a gorge all right, and the suspension bridge swayed as the people walked over it. I was beginning to think I should wait in the car.
People were going over in single file and coming back the same way. They all wanted to keep a hand on the railing placed along both sides of the bridge.
I didn't think much of the idea of walking over to the other side, because I knew that once I got there, I would have to come back.

Synopsis
Recommended for ages 6-10
Join Brock and Becca on the west coast of Canada as they enjoy the many attractions to be found in the city of Vancouver, and on Vancouver Island.
Brock's favourite was the time spent in the Aquarium in Stanley Park because he liked the sharks, snakes, and putting his head in a fish tank.
Becca thought whale watching out on the ocean was the best. She was the only one who didn't get wet.
A fiddler on the roof, and goats on the roof were added enjoyment.

Your children will learn about Canada while being entertained with interesting and exciting stories in the Brock and Becca series.
