Excerpt: Spirituality is one's moral condition. I believe that moral condition improves by loving people and respecting life generally. This spirituality is enhanced by the person's desire to benefit the human race through benevolent interaction with neighbor, whether friend or stranger. Belief in a higher power, a loving Supreme Being, and a hereafter is woven throughout the fabric of it. I think that it's spirituality that stands on its own merits. Also, I think that participating in organized religion helps some people in their spiritual journeys. My ideas on spirituality are powerful for me. They are guiding principles. I used to look right past people. Now I look at people and see them, even taking time with strangers. I am kinder, more gentle and much more inclined to focus on people's positive qualities. Patience never has been a long suit of mine but I seem more patient with people now. This freedom is magnetizing. I'm drawn to others more than before. I have a different view of people. That's because I look upon them differently. I may not always observe holiness, i.e., the extent that a person, by their acts, belongs to the Supreme Being. I'm much more inclined, however, to give people the benefit of the doubt. Furthermore, I believe that all people possess the potential for holiness. People have the power to transform their own lives and the lives of others.
