Excerpt: The searchers quickly set up a perimeter while the two paramedics, cautiously entered the area to search for survivors. At the same time, Monty went to the empennage where he found the ELT and turned off the signal. Approaching the remains of the fuselage, it was evident that whoever might have been in it was not there now. Upon closer examination they saw that the plane had hit a nine-inch diameter tree with so much force that it broke off two feet above ground level. Some of the kinetic energy absorbed by this sudden stop was translated to the plane occupant?s body, throwing it through the windshield and violently against trees, rocks and branches. Dismemberments and small body parts were seen everywhere in the woods and in a rocky ravine just beyond the trees. As a paramedic, Noval had seen some horrible automobile accident scenes, but this was worse. The speeds at which an aircraft can crash result in forces that exceed those experienced in automobile accidents and Noval now saw the results.
Synopsis Historian Robert Jerzerski, Ph.D, and other aviation crash explorers are employed to locate and investigate a civilian plane crash site northwest of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. Findings there are key to a series of client family relationships dating back more than 45 years that now may produce serious unintended consequences. Meanwhile, Nan Barosa, Dr. Jerzerski?s associate, experiences life changes and events that cause her to re-evaluate herself and her position in life. Both independent stories merge when two people get together and try to put their lives into perspective. Mystery, drama, relationships and action; this book has it all
